The Good: Outdoor 50m pool and indoor 25m pool. In a town the size of Blenheim it means there is usually heaps of space to swim in a lane of your own. The water indoors is a good temperature. The lane ropes are good and the water smooth.
The Ugly: It's boring. The water outside is a bit cold, especially early in the summer.
Reflections: It has forever been a puzzle to us that towns like Blenheim have great pools, indoor and outdoor, and nothing happens. When did the last New Zealand Open Champion come from Blenheim? And yet it is not the facilities. The Council have done their bit. They have built facilities quite capable of producing New Zealand champions. The New Zealand Championships were held their once. The young people of Marlborough must be talented enough. What on God's earth are the adults who run the place doing wrong?
